The majority of accommodation around Nadi tends to be airport hotels of varying degrees of quality, to budget backpacker establishments on or close to Wailoaloa beach.
We are not going to list every single hotel here. Frankly, some of them are best avoided if you don’t want bed bug bites or valuables going missing from your room. But there are plenty of decent places around ranging from budget to high end, and we list some of the better ones.
While Nadi doesn't offer the beautiful beaches or wonderful reef snorkelling that the nearby Mamanuca or Yasawa islands do, it has a couple of advantages over booking an island resort or Coral Coast holiday.
Price and convenience.
You can leave the airport and be at your accommodation within minutes, not hours. The prices will be a fraction of what you will pay at a resort, leaving you a lot more spending money for day trips, shopping. And unlike the Coral Coast resorts, you are a 5 minute bus or taxi ride into town.
Why not combine the best of both worlds? Book a stay at Wailoaloa beach or in Nadi town for a few days when you arrive. That gives you the chance to do some of the activities that are only available on the mainland. Rain forest zip-lining, waterfall visits, or perhaps the Sigatoka river jet-boating.
From Wailoaloa, it's an easy ride out to the Mamanuca islands (a water taxi called the Mana Flyer departs right from Wailoaloa beach), or the Yasawas on the Yasawa Flyer or Tavewa Seabus, and spend the rest of your holiday relaxing on a white sand beach sipping cocktails and watching the sunset over a picture perfect coral reef.
